Employers for Childcare

The Employers for Childcare Task Force (E4C) is a non-partisan, diverse group of business leaders who are working together to develop and advocate for public policy reforms to expand working families’ access to affordable, high-quality childcare in Texas. E4C was launched by the Texas Restaurant Association, Early Matters Texas, Texas Association of Business, and Texas 2036. We are actively recruiting members.

Why should employers lead on childcare?

Our work and timeline:

  • Fall 2023 – Summer 2024: Recruit business leaders to join the task force, identify collaborators in the childcare space, and gather feedback and best practices through a series of interactive learning sessions.
  • Summer – Fall 2024: Develop a strategic policy agenda.
  • Fall – Winter 2024: Promote the agenda, secure legislative champions, and prepare for Texas’ 89th Regular Legislative Session.
  • Spring – Summer 2025: Guide our agenda through the legislative session.
